Awareness raising workshops were conducted for communities and school children in Kavrepalanchok district recently under the project"Proactive Pangolin Protection: Building law enforcement and community capacity to reduce the pangolin trade in Nepal". The information on various aspects of pangolin were delivered to students and local communities including its ecology, behavior, distribution, threats, conservation needs and legal repercussions for involvement in its trade and thereof. A total of 137 students and 47 community members were exposited on the conservation need of the pangolin in Bethanchok Rural Municipality of Kavrepalanchok district.
